Fees and approach to care

Consultation fees range from AUD $100–$300, depending on the appointment type. Your first naturopathic appointment is 75 minutes and costs $225.

Nutrition, diet and healthy lifestyle form the foundation of my approach. I often recommend naturopathic medicines to support specific goals, such as pregnancy or symptom management, but they are not always needed.

Medicines cost extra. Costs vary according to your needs and circumstances; a reasonable guide is $50–$200 per month. Medicines can be dispensed by an Australian registered pharmacist, or I can provide written recommendations for you to purchase separately.

We discuss recommendations, costs and follow-up together so you can make informed choices. My aim is to help you manage your own health as much as possible, with appointments guided by your needs and progress.

Before you book

Payment and cancellations

Online appointments require payment in full when booked. Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment incur a fee equal to 50% of the appointment fee. This fee is waived if the appointment is rescheduled. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Privacy

Personal information submitted through this booking form is collected and stored in Cliniko for appointment administration and clinical care. Please read the Privacy Policy before proceeding.

Areas of care

The diagnosis may be shared. Your experience is not.

Consultations provide time to explain what has been happening, what you have tried and what matters most to you. Symptoms that are hard to describe, or have previously been dismissed, are taken seriously. Naturopathic care considers how reproductive health interacts with digestion, metabolism, the nervous system, sleep, emotions, relationships and work.

A considered approach

Evidence matters. So does the person in front of me.

Your priorities and preferences help define the goals of care. I draw on clinical research and clinical experience to design a treatment plan, explain the evidence and uncertainty behind it, and refine it with you according to what is useful, acceptable and achievable.

Research strengthens naturopathic care; it does not replace participation, agency, self-care, personal values or the therapeutic relationship. My role is to bring these elements together.

  • Review medicines and self-prescribed supplements for actual or potential interactions
  • Refine natural treatment protocols for safety, usefulness and fit with medical care
  • Explain likely benefits, limitations, alternatives and uncertainty
  • No financial incentive to recommend a supplement, test or diagnostic service
  • Work with medical specialists, pharmacists and other qualified professionals where helpful

What is naturopathy?

Natural options, informed choices and collaborative care.

Echinacea purpurea flowering in a garden

People often seek naturopathic care to explore natural options before, alongside or after other health or medical treatments, review supplements they already use, and discuss concerns that may not have felt fully heard.

Natural does not always mean safe, and evidence for many natural treatments remains uncertain. I listen to your priorities, explain benefits, limitations and possible interactions, and recommend options suited to you.

Naturopathy grew from European nature-cure traditions and considers the whole person, not only a diagnosis. I draw on extensive experience prescribing herbal medicines and nutritional supplements in women's health, together with my PhD research and ongoing work in integrative medicine. Care may include nutrition, movement, rest, self-care and natural medicines. With your permission, I can share recommendations with your health and medical practitioners to help co-ordinate your care.

Research and transparency

Evidence, experience and your priorities.

Natural health is crowded with confident claims and commercial influence. Published, peer-reviewed research allows methods, results and conflicts of interest to be examined. It does not remove uncertainty or replace clinical experience and your values. It makes the reasoning behind recommendations more transparent.

As a general guide, I use complementary medicines listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and sourced through established suppliers. This supports confidence that products are authentic and contain what their labels state. Where appropriate, this includes products supplied only through practitioners.

Independent of product and testing companies. My fee is for consultation and care. I do not accept commissions, endorsement fees or other incentives from supplement, testing or diagnostic companies. If I recommend a product or test, I explain its purpose, limitations, alternatives and separate cost.

Principles of practice

Six ideas guide the consultation.

The WHO's 2010 training benchmark describes the underlying philosophy in five statements, combining patient education and prevention. The profession commonly separates these into six principles. Read the WHO benchmark

01

First, do no harm

Choose care that minimises risk and recognises when referral or medical treatment is needed.

02

The healing power of nature

Work with the body’s capacity for recovery, adaptation and health.

03

Identify and address causes

Look beyond isolated symptoms to the factors that may be sustaining ill health.

04

Treat the whole person

Consider physical, psychological, social, environmental and individual factors together.

05

Practitioner as teacher

Share knowledge so people can understand their options and participate in their care.

06

Prevention and health promotion

Support health now while reducing avoidable risks over the longer term.
